FARMING AS A BUSINESS - WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

As part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), IRIS Consulting & Training and BiD Network with support from IFDC CATALIST-Uganda will host a half-day seminar on Farming as a Business on Friday, 20th November, 2015 at City Royal Resort Hotel, Bugolobi starting 8:30am to 12:00pm at a fee of 20,000 shillings. We will debate the meaning, merits and demerits of farming as a business.

 

Should the subsistence farmer be encouraged to take up farming as a business? There are millions of households engaged in subsistence farming; should they be encouraged to change? What is subsistence farming, anyway?
